Description:
In the early hours of March 26, 2007 a fire occurred at Irish Eyes. Several fire departments from the area worked relentlessly to save the restaurant, contents and surrounding buildings. The months following the fire were filled with community support for the business owners and employees. “The support from the community was incredible, despite such a tragedy, the community pulled together and showed everyone what friendship is really about. We’re lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people, we couldn’t have gotten through this without them,” stated Dana Smith, General Manager.
Soon after the devastation, construction of the new building began. Now, Irish Eyes has been rebuilt and is open its doors to the public. Patrons will notice many changes have been made in the new building. The dining area has been enlarged and a banquet hall, complete with an outdoor deck and seating capacity of 200 has been added. While the menu staples will remain, new dishes have been added. When asked about the new menu changes Chef Marcus Donovan said “We wanted to keep the integrity of the classics, we don’t want to lose them, but we’ve added new items that are fun with a twist. We want to keep the menu upbeat and with the trends, we will have seasonal menus with fresh and local ingredients. I am excited to be part of the Irish Eyes family.” Menu changes will be apparent, price increases will not.
